What We Believe

At Sunnyview Christian Church, we believe that:

There is one God eternally existing in three persons. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14)

God sent his son, Jesus to die for our sins and rise from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8)

The Bible is the inspired word of God and is our final authority in life and doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16)

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are in need of salvation. (Romans 3:23; 6:23)

Salvation is a gift from God. The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. This salvation is available to anyone who puts their trust in Christ as savior. (John 3:16, Romans 3:24)

Those who trust in Jesus need to repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized. (Acts 3:19, 2 Timothy 2:29, Romans 10:9-10, 1 Peter 3:21)

The Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and discipling the saved. (Ephesians 4:1-16)

Jesus will return one day, and we put our hope in the promise of a new heaven and a new earth. (2 Peter 3:13)
